I was staying at the comfort suites and this place was in the shopping center next door. I had a craving for Chinese and the lobby had menus. I wanted chow mein, but I got a quart of onions, celery, and peas in a gross translucent goo with literally 4 small pieces of chicken. I couldn't even eat it. The consistency was strange and didn't look appetizing. I also ordered the "crispy" honey chicken, which was anything but. Soggy, carelessly fried chunks of batter with little chicken. On top of all of that, I would have given at least 2 stars if the woman at the pick up count wasn't so rude. AVIOD and call elsewhere if you want good Chinese.

Tasty Chinese food after a random stop on the way to the northeast! Got some beef with broccoli in garlic sauce--the lunch special was inexpensive and filling. The fried rice was kind of fwah but for the price, I certainly can't complain. It hit that chinese take-out spot. Everyone has that spot right?

I'm so glad to see these two reviews from big cities like Philly and LA, both of which I know have plenty of "good" Chinese food.....and mainly because Jing Jing is the closest Asian food to my house! We have gotten take out from there many times over the past 5 years, mainly for that reason, and we've always liked it, had a good experience with the food etc....but we just weren't sure if it was "that" good. But to have these other reviews helps us put JJ in perspective. I will say this...as far as the Chinese food goes, I've had nothing bad, they have great service, AND they offer "large" and "small" portions (which is great as many Asian restaurants have one size only). Then recently they began offering a Japanese menu including sushi, and I was a little frightened of this, but several sushi orders later, I've always been happy. And now they have Thai offerings as well. So, I really want to give 3 and 1/2 stars but it won't let me. Very good and getting better! Will do nicely for your occasion for Asian.

Very good chinese food. If Panda Express is a 5+, Jing Jing is definitely a 4+. Give Jing Jing a ring ring the next time you are lost in South Carolina driving to North Carolina. Man, I need a portable GPS.

Lunch combos pretty basic. Food is hot and tastes good. Ice for drinks is dug out of a cooler in front with a scoop everyone touches and is left in with the ice. Skip the ice! Small dining area.

So someone goes to chinatown buys the cheapest frozen chicken over breaded and generic sauces dumps them in a frier and serves to you... the service stunk. They kept repeating YES after people would say hello. Like hey what do you want... not how can i help you? I sat down after asking can i sit anywhere and no one came to me i guess your order then sit. So i get up and order take out. Get to the room no fork. Orange chicken a 0 White rice a 3

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
